NetBox for BusinessBasic Service includes:
For complete details see the NetBox Business Accounts FAQ.NetBox Optional ServicesIn order to take advantage of the NetBox Optional Services, you must already have either a Personal NetBox or Netbox for Business account. Additional On Line Storage Whenever your storage requirements go over the 3MB included in the basic services, you will be billed for the space used. Storage used is calculated as a daily average over the billing month.
Archiving Services are provided on request. Please contact Sales@NetBox.com for further information. MailBot Autoresponder Service The MailBox service is an extension of your NetBox identity. Your message will be automatically sent out when a request is received at your MailBot address. The address will look like:
You can have as many MailBots as you desire; additional messages would be sequentially numbered "info1", "info2", "info3", etc. You will also receive copies of the messages requesting the MailBot delivery. MailBot messages and set up instructions are sent to POMaster@NetBox.com.
Web Page Hosting As with MailBots, the World Wide Web helps you get your message out to the Internet. NetBox will host your WWW pages so they can be found through your NetBox ID. The URL will contain your NetBox name and, for businesses, your business name [businesses can have pages for each account holder accessed using the NetBox domain]:
There are two plans to choose from depending on your budget and needs: Basic Service is limited to html pages and simple links. Pages and subsequent changes are delivered to the NetBox Webmaster for placing in the NetBox web space. This plan is intended for web pages that would not change often.
Moderately Active Service is for users who have need to change the information on their pages on a reqular basis. Your web space is linked with an ftp site. To update a page, you place the new page in the ftp directory where it will automatically be added or changed.
POP3 Mail Service POP Mail Server adds to the convenience of your NetBox. With the POP Mail option, you can use an off-line mail reader such as Eudora to directly access you mail at NetBox. With this option you do not need to forward mail through your Internet access providers mail system. With the POP Mail option, you still have the ability to use the other NetBox services, such as forwarding and holding mail. The POP Mail capability can be turned on and off through the regular NetBox configuration methods [telnet/www/e-mail].
FTP Service A NetBox FTP site allows you to place large files - both binary and text - in a site where others can access them. Now you can distribute large catalogs or other large files in a controlled and convenient method. The service includes transfers of 30MB worth of files and 15 hours of login time per billing month.
[NOTE:Use over the monthly allowances will be billed quarterly if accumulative charge is less than $50. $50 deposit required if payment is to be made by check (the prorated unused portion will be refunded if the ftp site is closed.)] Domain Name Registration and Hosting [Available for NetBox for Business/Private Domain customers only] NetBox offers the option for customers to establish their own identities in the form of domains. The e-mail address then becomes "login@my_domain.com". For an additional fee, NetBox will handle the new registration or modify the registration of an existing domain with the InterNIC (US domains only).
[NOTE: Costs for secondary domain hosts, if any, not included in the annual hosting fee. InterNIC fees (currently $50/year with the first two years payment ($100) due upon registration) will be billed separately if NetBox does the filings.] IP Addressing is also available as an option for business accounts. The main advantage from a company's viewpoint is to be able to have a simple URL - http://www.mycompany.com/ instead of an additional directory after this [such as http://www.mycompany.com/myco/].
EMail to Fax Service NetBox has combined the convenience of email with a cost effective fax service which can deliver messages worldwide. NetBox owners can now use their email to send fax messages allowing you to communicate with others who are not connected to the Internet. There are some limitations to the technology, however. Current technology is reliable for faxes sent to fax machines. A fax sent to a fax/modem card on a computer is much less reliabe and can cause a transmission rate of about 70% [meaning that 30% of the tries may not go through with this type of connection].
Email to US Post Service As with the fax, NetBox has combined the convenience of email with a cost effective post service which can deliver messages worldwide. NetBox owners can now use their email to send letters giving you another route to communicate with others who are not connected to the Internet. This includes options for return receipt delivery confirmations.
